Please read this section carefully when ordering your instrument in order to know the terms and conditions you will be subjected to since we will get your confirmation of the purchase.
When buying through our web site you must know:
Payment terms and conditions:
- In order to confirm your purchase we need a confirmation payment:
100% of the final price for standard instruments
50% of the final price for instruments made to order.
This payment will mean you confirm the purchase.
Minimum purchase: 75€
An invoice will be sent to you through e-mail.
- If we don’t have the requested instrument on stock we contact our suppliers, who’ll immediately send it directly from India.
Delivery: 10-15 days for standard products and 1-3 months for special requests and Hemen sarods.
For national and international delivery we contract a transport company and insurance it. We usually contract Standard/Economic service for Europe, Africa and Oceania, and Express for North, South and Central America. Don’t hesitate to contact us for special requirements.
Devolution will only be accepted three days after delivery. We won’t accept devolution of custom ordered instruments or Hemen sarods.
Devolution can be done personally at our store or sent to it, in which case the client will assume the cost.
-The returned instrument must reach our store in the same conditions you received it. Any kind of damage will mean the cancellation of the refund
-You’ll get a refund of the 75% of your purchase’s total price by Sitarsencat through a bank transfer or Paypal.
-We will not accept devolutions after more than three days from the delivery date.
- Once the purchase is confirmed you are committed to buy the instrument. Cancellation of the order will not be accepted after the confirmation payment. Thus, before proceeding to the confirmation payment we ask you to contact us in order to know the final price of the instrument, including transport.
-Devolution of electronic complements and accessories will not be accepted.
Damaged on arrival:
As it is mentioned in the section “Shipments” we always contract an insurance for instruments sent through FedEx. In the unlikely case the instrument would arrive damaged Sitarsencat will deal with the transport company to refund you the instrument’s cost. Once finalized all arrangements we will send you the money through a bank transfer or we will proceed to dispatch a new instrument, according to your preference.
-Notice that all our instruments are handmade in India, thus there can be slight variations from the pictures.
Blemishes in fiberglass cases:
-Please don’t forget that all Sitarsencat instruments have been sent from India. As a consequence of such a long trip it can be occur that some minimum blemishes can be seen at the fiberglass case’s surface but this will never affect the case’s resistance or durability.
Variations in price:
-Due to the increasing prices of materials such as wood, brass, cooper in the market, and the changing value of euro, which directly affect the cost of instrument’s making Sitarsencat reserves the right of modifications of the published prices.

-If you are a musician or you have a second hand instrument to sell, we are pleased to help you. You can be advertised in our web without any cost. Just contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will not publish musicians or instruments advertisements which are not related to Indian music.
