One of Radhey Shyam Sharma’s most representative sitar, notice the lotus carvings decorating both tabli and tumba, so characteristic of this maker, as well as the hole in the upper part of the neck to get more volume.
 Made in Radhey Shyam’s workshop in Varanasi with aged teakwood. No cellulloid ornaments around, instead of it a bone inlay decorates it, a special technique which is rarely seen nowadays but we can find in some sitars from the mid 20th century.
This sitar shows a solid construction being of medium weight and with a thick tabli. Exquisite sound.
An instrument to have in mind. It is actually one of the best and most beautiful teak wood sitars we have had in our hands!
