Hiren Roy Tanpura 60's

A rare and lovely female tanpura from the 60's made by the original founder of the shop.

This exceptional instrument is entirely made of burma teak wood and its tabli is extremely round. At least a 2 inches blank was needed to carve the tabli of this unique instrument, the result can be seen in the pictures, an instrument of genuine beauty.

The wood's grain is superb, furthermore the instrument has been carefully polished with dewaxed shellac to enhance the natural color of the wood.
